We have A LOT going on this semester. Here are some dates that you need to remember:
March 13 - Solo and Ensemble Contest
*This is REQUIRED for Jazzio's and Schumann
March 20 - Organizational Contest
*This is REQUIRED for EVERYONE! It is a big part of your grade as well.
April 7 - Stringsation Concert
this is where we play with the Elem and High Schoolers at AHS Gym
April 22 - Spring Concert
*REQUIRED for EVERYONE
May 18 - Showcase/Coffee Concert
*REQUIRED for Jazzio's and Schumann
6th Grade -
Please spend some quality time on the three Contest pieces. We cannot practice in class, we need to REHEARSE in class so please do your practicing at home.
7th/8th Grade -
Listen to "Adagio for Strings" on YouTube. Type in Adagio for Strings and the second clip that comes up is the one you want to watch.
Jazzio's -
1st violins, please look at the 16th notes in Bugler's. Mrs. Carter would like to run that piece on Fri.
There will be NO Jazzio's on Jan. 29. Mrs. Carter will be attending the IMEA All State Conference.
